J. Cody Hiland, who became chair of the Republican Party of Arkansas in December, 2022, spoke to the Washington County Republican Committee March 21, as Committee Chair Brian Lester looked on. Hiland said Republicans have a critical role to play in the future of the nation. "They tell you you are alone," Hiland said. "But we stand with tens of millions" recognizing that "faith, family, and freedom are under attack." He called for unity in the Republican Party and to not be distracted by side issues as he quoted Winston Churchill: "You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks."
